CHESTERVILLE, OH — Mike Watkeys, the 2004 Carl Spackler Outfit receipent, announced over the weekend that he has withdrew from the Open Championship once again. This time it is not lack of funds, but lack of being two places at one time.

The Watkeys cancellation follows cancellations from Rikky Goswami and Brad Simon.

"My friend is getting married in Boston," says Watkeys. "The wedding is Saturday, June 10. I wish the tournament allowed partial attendance, but cannot do both. I cannot believe that returning to this great tournament has been so difficult."

Watkeys attended in 2002-2004 and has not been seen since. "It is a shame. A true shame," says Captains Club member Brian Long. "I hope the wedding is an incredible experience. Another unbelievable week of entertainment is not what I want hanging over my head."

The tournament scales back to 61 golfers with the recent cancellation. There are 3 open spots available. Potential attendees must have 4+ scorecards posted by June and send $349+ to Rick Dosky immediately.

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins in 37 days.
