DURHAM, NC — Rookie David Neill entered the 2006 Virtual Tournament this week with 37.3 points per round and a Top 5 position. As Neill's handicap continues to change after each round, he captures more and more points.

Rookie handicaps are updated after each of their first 5 rounds before being set for the remainder of the season. Neill is presently receiving an unprecendented 2 points for triple bogey.

"My game is rock solid," says Neill. "I have a worm-burning high-scoring game that blows away my opponents. Nobody can catch me after I get hot and start scoring the big numbers."

Neill is receiving a record 2 points for triple bogey towards the Virtual Tournament. Another record 6 points for bogey, record 10 points for par and record 18 points for birdie.

"Sounds like this guy thinks scoring high is good," says Captains Club member Jason Watson. "He is swinging the equivalent of 36 holes per round and must be exhausted afterwards."

Jeff Miller was impressed with his intellect. "He obviously is pretty smart in mathematics," says Miller. "Most high handicappers do not have the ability to remain focused and count all the strokes."

Neill latest round at the University of North Carolina was played a few days ago. He carded four 10's, one 9 and three 8's. Neill has signed to play in his first major championship in 37 days. Surinder Punia is reportedly happy with his upward movement on the handicap list.
