VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The 2006 Carl Spackler Open pairings were released to the general public during a major press conference held by Kevin Long, Jr.; Vice President of the Tee Box. The conference took place in his spacious back yard in Virginia Beach at 9:00am EDT, and featured a rare appearance by none other than Jon Munksgard and Chuck Long, Sr..

"It's an honor and a great pleasure to present to all of you the 2006 Carl Spackler Open featured pairings lists. As you know, we in the Captains Club have dedicated ourselves to hosting the finest amateur golf tournament in the world of golf. As such, we've constructed the most advanced system in tournament hosting. It is our belief that everyone will be pleased with the final results," stated Long.

The Practice Round, Round 1, and Round 2 pairings were made available immediately. The scramble is still tentative, but pretty locked in. Players and fans alike can review the pairings by clicking on the PAIRINGS link. Once there, readers can click on each of the numbered links until the player in question is located.

"I'm delighted with the pairings, I think that this will produce the most exciting and competitive tournament that we've had yet," stated Chuck Long, while looking sharp in his Carl Spackler Open golf shirt. "Pairings make all of the difference in the world. It's a comfort level, I think, and uh, you know, you play a lot better when you're comfortable with the rest of the foursome. That's why the smartest man alive, Matt Davis is in my foursome," added Chuck, scratching his chest.

Jon Munksgard also commented on the scramble pairings. "It looks like Trojanowski is our B player in our fivesome," said a worried Munksgard. "We got Hiser, Myers and myself as the anchors for Ridgeway. This looks like the winning team."

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open begins in 14 days. Check out the latest itinerary online for details on what is planned.
