TERRA ALTA, WV —  The Golfapalooza Finance Office received funds from Brett "Bro" Lyme yesterday. Bro becomes the seventh Loozer to pay for this year's event. GStan was excited to hear of Lyme's commitment. "Very few Loozers have contributed more to the event the last couple years than Brett. Between his stellar golf performance, the mix of tunes on his iPod, the card playing, the beer koozies, I could go on for hours. We're very excited to have him aboard for another year."

GStan also announced the signing of Greg "Slick" Long to his seventh consecutive Golfapalooza appearance. "The Founding Fathers are proud to have Greg come back again. We appreciate all the hard work he has put in to the new website and look to grow our usage of it along with him. Now we know why he sleeps most of the time he's not golfing. Randy Watson tried to explain it to us, but trying to explain something that simple to Brent just goes over his head. By the way, we're also glad to hear Randy will flying up from Houston this year."

Sheiker then stepped to the podium to discuss other GX news. "I got word from Spraguer yesterday that his attendance at this year's event is highly in doubt. He got word from his boss at 4:00 on Friday that his lab is scheduled for an external review on the Thursday and Friday of GX. He just changed jobs in May and negotiated the days off before he started. He remembered all of the crap he took from Butter the last time he changed jobs and missed a G event and didn't want to hear it again. Unfortunately the review can't be moved; he's not happy about it but there's nothing he can do."

45 days remain until the practice round teeoff. Apparel orders have to be in by August 15th to ensure it can be completed in time.
