SELLARSBURG, IN — The Captains Club announced today the record-low pricing for double occupancy at Super 8 Hotel in Brooklyn, MI. The price beats out the previous record-low pricing in 2004 by 14 percent and includes breakfast.

"We are very happy with our negotiated $114.00," said Tom McCauley, Vice President of Golf Instruction and Winner of the 2006 Horses Ass Award. "Some hotels charge $114 per night, but each golfer can expect to pay $114 double occupancy after state and hotel taxes for all 4 nights."

The Super 8 hotel is located 3 miles of north of Michigan International Speedway in upscale Brooklyn. The vacancy during non-race weekends can be attributed to the record-low pricing.

"We were simply stunned," said McCauley. "The hotel is not quite as nice as 2006, but similar to Winston-Salem without the pool or onsite bar. I am simply blown away by the value it provides our tournament. Bulk guaranteed purchases continue to be a great asset to the lowest price possible."

With the Welcome Party starting as early as 5:00PM on Wednesday, the practice round will be available at 10:00AM and 1:30PM. Enter the incredibly low $28.00 rate on Tuesday night.

"We expect to have a heavy increase in Tuesday night lodging this year and more importantly larger kitchen passes exceeding the traditional 4 days," added McCauley. "With rates at $28.00, it really puts the decision at the Kitchen Pass level."

The large purchase of rooms will include a very large banquet room for the traditional Player Meeting, Awards Dinner, Awards Presentation and probable Team Card Tournament.

"The record-low pricing is just another positive move towards another successful tournament," said Greg Long, Chairman of the Captains Club. "Brooklyn has just one hotel and it only has 39 available rooms with two beds. The tournament cap is a physical restriction at 88 golfers using single-bed rooms and is not likely to effect tournament growth."

Rick Dosky put the pricing in another perspective. "Every hotel dollar saved is $4 when you consider the entire week. With just 60 golfers, that is $240 back into our budget for other services. This Brooklyn rate is $6.50 less per golfer per night from Raleigh. You do the math."

The 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins its registration process on November 15. Deadline for registration is the exceeded cap or postmarked deposits prior to December 28.
