Miller Struggles in Naples

October 2, 2006

NAPLES, FL — Jeff Miller scored a season-high 35 points on Friday in Naples, FL. Obviously his personal golf struggles continue in 2006 despite winning the Skills Challenge Contest in Raleigh.

"My game is under control and not in trouble," said Miller after his Saturday round at Forest Glen. "My inability to shoot a birdie this year is the only cause for concern."

The 58 points in two rounds moves Jeff into a tie for 37th position within in the Virtual Tournament. The position includes 33.2 points per round.

"He might be wus, but he does have some talent," says Jason Ridgeway. "The media tends to focus on the negatives, but Miller has dropped his handicap substantially over the last three years. It is just a shame that he does not work harder."

Jeff presently boasts a 12 stroke handicap. He left last Thursday for Naples, FL and played multiple rounds of private golf. He played the Bonita Bay Club on Friday and Forest Glen on Saturday.

In other news, Jason Watson continues to lead the Virtual Tournament with 52.3 points per round. Scott Zavinski holds 2nd position. There are less than 3 months left in the season-long tournament.
