VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Kevin Long, Jr., winner of nothing, completed his seventh round of the long season at Kempsville Greens in Virgina Beach. The round stunds the field of players and even Hevy Jo himself.

Long poured in 42 points including a 6-point birdie on Hole 16. The round also included 9 pars, which has to be a record.

"The story can usually be told on the first green," said Long after his round. "The double-bogey at the first was not the story this time. I really reached in and decided to not waste my time and money."

The 11-over 82 included two double bogeys and even one triple bogey on the easy Hole 6. "The big zeros kept coming on the easiest holes," added Long.

The most stunning moment was the 3 hour stretch run that started on the 7th tee box. Long shot just 5-over par through the remaining holes with his only bump in the road at Hole 10.

"He played pretty well," says member Jeff Tatum. "I think everyone including Kevin should realize that one round is not a trend."

Long moved from a tie for 28th to 23rd position on the Virtual Tournament Leaderboard. The latest round is 7.6 percent more points than his previous season best.

The 2006 Virtual Tournament is led by Jason Watson in Houston, TX. Scott Zavinski remains in second position.
