Three Amigo Dominance

October 30, 2006

GLEN ALLEN, VA — Although Mike Herron has not been happy with his personal golf game, he is happy to be a part of the domainance supplied by the Three Amigos. Along with neighbors Scott Zavinski and Joe Butkus, the special group of members are in complete control of the Virtual Tournament.

Herron and company reside in nearby Glen Allen, VA. Herron moved into 7th position last week with Mr. Butkus grabbing a strong hold on 8th position. Zavinski continues to play very strong in 2nd position.

"These guys are playing very well," says Captains Club member Brian Flanagan. "It is quite situation down there in Virginia. Virginia Beach owns the bottom of the Leaderboard and Richmond managing the top."

Herron is just one-tenth of a point ahead of Butkus with 39.9 points per round. He holds a much less impressive spot on the Poststats Stroke Leaderboard with 22nd position.

"Mike's ability to shoot par makes him a Poststats Points supporter," said Scott Zavinski. "Although he is not playing to his standards, the point system hides his poor play behind several pars per round."

The Three Amigos account for 213 rounds since February 1. Scott Zavinski individually has 141 rounds. Butkus continues to represent the best of bogey golf with plenty of members asking whether the 80's will ever return.

The 2006 Virtual Tournament is a season-long tournament with handicaps distributed on January 1. Members enter thousands of scorecards each season to determine who is the most improved golfer. Jason Watson of Houston, TX currently holds first position.
