JACKSON, MI — The 6th and 7th states are now represented. North Carolina and Indiana will be represented in 7th major championship in Jackson, MI. Chris Milam led the signings from Davidson, NC just outside Charlotte.

"Glad to be back," said Milam. "No more rookie excuses. I plan to make a large statement early and often."

The 6-1, 190lb Milam recorded 42nd position in the 2006 tournament. His 22 stroke handicap is expected to be much lower prior to Michigan. "There are lot of distractions as a rookie," said Milam in a written statement. "I think everyone should be aware of my plan to win the Golden Jacket and place it neatly in my bedroom closet. North Carolina deserves gold and nobody seems to be stepping up."

Tom McCauley, winner of the 2002 Carl Spackler Outfit and 22nd (of 29 senior members) in overall career rankings, signs for his 7th straight tournament. As a member of the Captains Club, Tom McCauley boasts a 14 stroke handicap that never seems to materialize for 3-consecutive rounds.

McCauley opened a career best final round at Mountain Valley in 3rd position. He scored a dismal 23 points to fall out of contention. The debacle along with his debacle in Williamsburg continue to be hidden behind his back-to-back Closest to the Pin performances in Winston-Salem and Barnesville.

The 2007 Carl Spackler Open registrations have heated up over the last week. McCauley and Milam sign as the 9th and 10th players.
