The Truth Arrives

March 19, 2007

COLUMBUS, OH — Allan Hench, a.k.a. The Truth, has signed a letter of intent to play golf at the 2007 Carl Spackler Open this summer. He strengthens an already rock solid Ohio while adding truth and integrity to the tournament.

"I look forward to make a run for the top," said Hench in a quick simple written statement. "I am in it to win it."

The Truth has been very competitive over the years and plans to do more than just show up.

"I am extremely excited to sign Hench, he's a quality guy," Marty Zabonik said from his cubicle. "He has a bouncer type frame with a very low handicap, which is rarely seen. He has never been very coachable, but he is a competitor. As a recruiter for the Spackler Open, Hench will definitely drop the overall group stroke handicap with a proposed single-digit handicap. The question is whether he will play like me, garbage, or find the top spot and bring home the Golden Jacket."

Bill Bateson had another angle to cover when asked about Hench's signing. "The Truth is probably one of the those rookies that just doesn't know what to expect in June," Bateson said. "He needs to focus on fine tuning his game. Not just his swing, but mixing it with beer without a stroke increase. I personally think his beard goes well with the Carl Spackler Outfit, but would never wish that on anyone."

Allan is the 46th player to play in the Carl Spackler Open. The Grande Golf Club was chosen to host the 7th annual tournament. It will provide golfers ample room for error off the tee. Golfers have 10 days left to complete the majority of tournament Options.
