June 23, 2003

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The Carl Spackler Open, a leading provider of entertainment and services supporting the golf industry, announced today it has named Kevin Long, Jr. to the position of Vice President of Tee Times.  He will be responsible for managing the tee times proactively and throughout the tournament.  This includes tee box ceremonies, foursome pairings each day, shots of liquor, player announcements and will report directly to the Captains Club.

There will be a dotted line between Hevy and Jason Watson, responsible for player scoring and rules.  Kevin's responsiblilities will not include the Red Tee Sweepstakes or photography.

Mike Trojanowski said, "Kevin has played a key role in the growth of the Open for over a year through his involvement in numerous improvements including setting a standard as our first tournament honoree.  He plans to work closely with the Captains Club, and his professional relationships and mouth has positioned him well to further develop the #1 tee box into a great atmosphere.?

Kevin Long, 32, joined the Spackler Open in 2001 as a rookie.  He was quickly promoted to the Captains Club in early 2002 and now has been given the most difficult position within the Captains Club.  After taking a year off in 2002, Hevy is back and ready for responsibility and some challenges.  "Some of these guys are very difficult about playing partners.  Sometimes there is nothing that you can do, but hopefully everyone will be cool."

Kevin was unavailable for comment but released a faxed statement that explained, "I didn?t want to waste time since this tournament is becoming quite large.  It will be some sacrifice, but I plan to really enjoy it."  He further commented, "This past year was an eye opening experience about my golf game.  If I can't play well, I might as well help out."
