Rusty Reustle

March 30, 2007

LYNBROOK, NY — Rob Reustle, a 21.4 stroke handicap, has signed to participate in his second straight major championship to be held in Michigan this June. The announcement comes months after his required paperwork was submitted to the Spackler business office.

"It is great to be back this year," said a rusty Reustle. "I have not picked up a club in a while and very rusty. The rust that requires oxalic acid and some elbow grease."

Reustle, a.k.a. Rooster, last played golf in eastern Ohio. He posted rounds at 4 1/2 star River Greens just north of Cambridge and a deceptively difficult Crooked Creek just west of Wheeling, WV. He shot 96 and 97 strokes respectively.

"It is great to see our Rooster return," says member Nick Casale. "Hopefully, he will not allow employment and his boss to destroy his competitive golf season."

Rooster signs just six months after a rookie-style-finish in Raleigh. His 54-hole tournament at the Neuse mustered just 44th position including a dreadful 18-point effort during "moving day".

"He opened with a pretty scary practice round," said buddy Casale. "He scored a measley 4 points over his informational round. Although that was a practice round, it has to be some kind of Spackler record."

Casale added, "There is no way he slept well the night before Round 1. I probably would have found a lighted driving range that takes credit cards."

Rob Reustle signs as the 49th player and will represent the state of New York. Tournament Options are available for one more week. Golfers are also reminded of the financial importance surrounding the tournament and postmark deadline of April 26.
