Mr. Recovery

OSTRANDER, OH — Eric Melick found every set of woods there was on the front 9 of Mill Creek during Thursday’s round 3. That however had no effect on his ability to hit ever green in regulation. He followed up his hitting out the woods display but giving a putting clinic. If he was on the green you could count it. Asked about his round all Melick had to say was “I just wish I could play a little faster.â€
Rookie Doug Weaver gave solid performance bringing 29 points off of a solid 45.
Mr. Minardi followed up his on fire performance in weeks to with a luke warm performance during week 3. He did however sink a 10 foot bogie putt on the last hole to give him and playing partner Eric Melick the victory. Peter had this to say about his round “I really just enjoy the company and the free beer.â€
Flanagan and Sullivan once again tied but neither of them visited the Rinebockers this week. Sullivan commented on the day “It’s really fun to be out here with such a great group of guys. If we could just figure out a way to rattle the big guy we could have a chance. I am going to need to stand in his peripheral vision a little more next week.â€
And Mr. Surly Dan Buckey who seems to be able to find something to complain about no matter where he is or what the situation finally is starting to understand the scoring system. No matter middle of the greens no more course management. This league calls for you to go for it. You are not going to win unless you are aggressive. Dan says “ Now that I understand what I have to do I’ll just go out and do it. This is really not the way I like to play but it’s fun for me to come out here and compete with the commoners†So yes you can expect Dan and his old man bump and runs to be back to play with the commoners next week.
