JAMESTOWN, NY — Barry Cedarquist, the 2003 rookie from New York, continues to struggle at Jackson Valley Country Club just south of his home. The latest weekend rounds have confused Mike Trojanowski and the Captains Club into believing he is a sandbagger or dummy.

"This guy talks like he is a low single-digit handicap," said Trojanowski after yesterday's round. "You listen to him before and after each round and it does not add up. It is very confusing. I am still waiting to see something that reflects the monsterous game he continues to insist will be arriving to Michigan in a couple of weeks."

Cedarquist carded a 24-over 95 on Sunday. The round included 6 double bogeys and 1 triple bogey. He carded a 21-over par 92 on Saturday at a very short Jackson Valley golf course.

"He is doing a great job sandbagging if he is indeed sandbagging," says Trojanowski. "The best actor that I have ever seen for sure. It costs a lot of money to register such a high handicap on purpose." Troj added, "I am giving the benefit of the doubt on dummy because cheating would be dumber and dumber."

Cedarquist did manage a 11-over 82 at Jackson Valley back in early May, which is his career low.

"The thing that scares me is the reality of the scoring," says Trojanowski. "If he is giving his best effort at Jackson Valley, he is going shoot 100 at the Carl Spackler Open Championship. Maybe 110."

In other news, Tom McCauley poured in 1 par and 35 bogeys at Covered Bridge Golf Club over the weekend. Tom scored 21 bogeys, 10 double bogeys, 3 triple bogeys, and 1 quadruple bogey.
