Practice Round Planned
May 24, 2007
JACKSON, MI — Pat Boland and Bob Morris will get their first look at Grande Golf Club on Sunday as he began preparations for the Carl Spackler Open Championship. There tee time is very early Sunday morning in preparation for Round 2's early start.
"We are taking this championship very seriously," says Pat Boland. "It starts with getting mentally ready."
Bob Morris joins Boland with new goals to improve his poor resume. "My tournament history looks poor," says Morris of his 34th position of 38 senior members. "Very poor. It is time for me to shine."
Morris requires extensive preparations including the design of 18 individual game plans for June execution. I am very excited to get my hands on a yardage card."
Boland and Morris will experience the wide fairways, large ragged bunkers, and monsterous greens. Boland's Red Tee Lottery homework will also be completed this Sunday in preparation for the Open Championship.
"I am looking forward to turning my game around," says Boland. "I am starting to feel the Spackler fever. The wide fairways of the Grande are sure to translate into must-needed confidence, which allows my strengths to take over the tournament."
Pat Boland is presently in 25th position for the 2007 Virtual Tournament. Bob Morris will open his golf season on Sunday. Matt Davis continues to hold onto first position.
