One Week To Go - Can Sullivan pull it off

May 29, 2007

OSTRANDER, OH — One week to go.

With May coming to an end and the first month of the Scioto Reserve Golf league wrapping up all eyes are focused on the leader board.  Requiring 3 rounds of golf to be played to qualify, there are 2 golfers needing to complete one more scorecard.  Doug and Melick will be looking to complete that scorecard this Thursday.  Sullivan, Flanagan and Minardi all have 3 in and Buckey has 4.

With Sullivan bouncing back last week with 37 huge points he puts himself right on track to compete for the win.  Using only three scores for the month Sullivan has the opportunity to improve his average by replacing the 18 he scored in week one.  Flanagan also has the opportunity to improve on an 18.

Melick sitting in the lead but has only 2 scores, all pressure is on Melick this week to finish with a strong performance.  With only 2 scores in his average could drop significantly with an average performance.

Practically anyone can win this month it will all come down to the final round and perhaps the final putt.  If Melick scores 25 points and Sullivan scores 30 Sullivan will take the lead.  Doug has an opportunity to jump into the lead if he scores a 31 or 32.  Flanagan, Buckey and Minardi need to come up big in order to have a shot this month.
