COLUMBUS, OH — In less than two years, Scott Miller has gone from an unknown rookie on the Carl Spackler Open Tour to a person capable of winning a major championship and a Golden Jacket.  That's what a few lessons and practice will do for you.

"When I left Madison to return back to Columbus, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal coming home," the 30-year-old from Ohio said Tuesday. "I didn't think the group would take me seriously since I still shoot triple-digits.  That was just an unbelievable and hopefully not a once-in-a-lifetime experience."

"I want to go out there each round this summer and prove to everybody that I belong out here and that my Top 10 finish was no fluke," Miller said. "I know the field will be expecting a lot more in the future from me.  I'm just going to go out there and continue what I've been doing and hopefully, I'll keep getting better and have a chance to win in 2004."

Scott Miller impressed the field in Round 3 of the 2003 Carl Spackler Open by shooting an impressive 106.  "That number gave me 35 points and I figure moved my name up 13 spots on the Tournament Leaderboard.
