PARKERSBURG, WV — Scott Miller was "under fire" at Worthington Golf Club over the weekend carding an all-time Spackler-high 94 points. The monsterous round included just 1 point for course difficulty and rocketed Miller up the season-long Tournament Leaderboard.

"Just under fire," said Miller while footnoting fellow member Brian Long. "Five pars was playing out of my mind. Adding two birdies to that kind of round is a once in a lifetime round."

Miller receives 4 points for bogey, 7 points for par, and 12 points for birdie to balance out his weekly hackfests. Last Saturday was a day with little hacking.

"At the turn, I grabbed a hotdog and added up my points," said Miller in shock. I got mustard on my shorts when I figured 51 points. It was insane, but probably represented how 'under fire' my game was on Saturday."

Miller, who gets a point for triple bogey, shot 5-over par 41 on the front nine with a triple bogey on Hole 2.

Scott rocketed up the Leaderboard 21 spots with the monsterous 94 point round. He is now in 8th position in the 2007 Virtual Tournament.

"An amazing round," said buddy Chris Milam. "He was indeed in a zone or 'under fire' as Brian Long would describe it. He shot right past me on the Leaderboard."

The round is a change of pace for the 6-year member of the Carl Spackler Open. ""That's a good round, but I have to keep it going," Miller said. "That's been my problem in the past."

Miller finished his interview by saying, "Obviously, I have a lot of good memories here at Worthington," who has won nothing in four major championships. "Even though I don't have a lot of experience in major titles, it's good to come back and play a course you have a good feeling for."

In other news, Jason Watson played twice in Houston in the past couple of weeks. The 64 and 61 point rounds have vaulted him upward into 43rd position on the Leaderboard.
