Loozers to Represent at World Championship
July 8, 2007
WHEELING, WV — The world championship of Cornhole is scheduled to kick off on Saturday July 28th in Portsmith OH. Competitors from all over the US will be in attendance and Golfapalooza will be represented. Mike Long, CFO of Golfapalooza said, "We have grown each year of our existence. We are trying to expand our recognizability over the Eastern Shore. We figured we would send two of our members to this year's event."
Brian Flanagan, founding father, had this to add, "We don't want to just be recognizable. Why not try to win this damn thing. The winners get two championship belts just like Hulk Hogan's!! Let's send the winners of our last two cornhole tournaments."
Low and behold, both loozers accepted the invite and are very honored to carry the Golfapalooza community on their backs to Portsmith. JT Thomas, 2005 champion and Eric Kaneicki, 2006 champion will be representing the entire community on the 28th. Pat "Hurricane" Boland was beside himself when he heard he did not make the cut. "I should be on the team. I could easily have won each of the last two tourneys if it weren't for beer pong." Boland rescinded his protests when he learned of the 5 foot height requirement.
Good Luck to the Loozers, who hopefully will be winners on the 28th. Anyone interested in getting a twosome and joining the boys, contact Eric Kaneicki at 304-233-6097.
