HILLIARD, OH — Through this summer, Don McFarland thought he had a good chance to not place dead last in the On Tour Championship.  Now he is going crazy because his game is performing like Enron and his mind needs a point for double bogey.

Now, he has his work cut out for him as he continues to struggle.  McFarland's double bogey streak has gone as far as quadruple bogey at times.  "Obviously, that's not the way you want to play or finish a round, especially when you are in the hunt to finish dead last", Spanky said. "I still have a chance, but I made it that much harder on myself."

McFarland, the runner up in the 2002 Open in Williamsburg, is located in 33rd place with 25.4 points per round.  "I need points for double bogey.  I am getting screwed."

Spanky plans to change things at Golfapalooza in 49 days.  "I've been here enough to know that you've got to be around 45 points to have a chance," he said. "So you can't afford to give away shots like I did on the last two holes at the official Open.  That's very disappointing."

"Alpine Lake at Golfaplooza sets up really well for me," he said. "It's not a bomber's paradise where you hit it as hard as you can and then go find it. You've got to keep the ball in the fairway and make putts. That gives a guy like me a chance."
