ROCKY MOUNT, NC — Jamie Myers(i.e. Frog Legs) plans to play Saturday in Rocky Mount, NC almost exactly one month after ripping off an opening 78 NOOG points, his caddie said Thursday.  This would be the second time Myers has played golf since winning the 2001 Remarkable Shot trophy in the Spackler Open.

"He's intending to play," Carlos Aquino said. "Things can change.  He now has a new one from the oven and you can imagine the responsibility, not to mention the lack of sleep.  But his intentions are to play."

Myers has officially made a tee-time for May 12, and typically does not commit to a round until the Friday evening when the lawn work is complete and the kitchen passes are handed out.  An announcement could come as early as 7PM tomorrow when the Spackler Open has its weekly media day.

The tournament director has been preparing Reedy Creek Golf Club with or without the No. 3 player in spring Spackler tournament.  She already has asked for double the number of buses to shuttle fans from the parking areas.

"If he does play, it's a huge impact on the tournament," the director said. "From everything I can tell, it can be a 50 percent increase to doubling the size of the gallery."

Myers shot a consistent 44-over par in the 2001 Spackler Open and has played very well to start the spring tournament with a 29-over, 101.  The question is not whether Myers will play, but will be able to handle the gallery and pressure of 3rd place.
