ROCKY MOUNT, NC — Chris Lashley, Carl Spackler Open Member, loves playing golf.  He also likes to make use of every advantage provided.

"Could you imagine the drives Myers and I could strike?  We're talking 400+ yards." Jay Myers, Chief Executive Officer, commented on Lashley's thoughts, "This guy is crazy.  I like to golf as much as anyone but I'm not about to risk life and limb to get in 18."

Lashley can be usually found inputting scorecards into the Carl Spackler Open's Add Scorecard process.  However, his presence has been absent since late July.  He also missed last year's event due to "previously scheduled engagements" and the birth of his son, Will.

When asked to comment on his recent disappearance, Chris stated, "Don't let she worry her pretty head about me.  I'll be on the course and dominating the field like I always do.  I just wanted to let the rest of the fellas to get their shot of the spotlight before I regain my status."

A Captains Club vote is coming soon on the 2004 event venue.  The courses in contention are:  The Wisp in Deep Creek, MD, Oakland Golf Club in Oakland, MD, and Tanglewood Park's Championship Course in Winston-Salem, NC.  Whichever course is selected, the field is bound to find themselves having a good time if not better then 2003.
