Creighton Returns
January 30, 2008
NEW YORK, NY — Soon to be announced on WRAL-TV, Don Creighton will be joining the Carl Spackler Open field when it hits the western soil of Peru, IN this June 2008. Don returns and joins an already solid field, but brings some of his city-boy flare to the country.
Creighton returns after skipping the Michigan tournament for a Harvard graduation. SNN recently caught up with the intercontinental man of mystery?
SNN: So Don, what have you done specifically to prepare for this year's Carl Spackler Open Championship?
DON: Nothing really. I don't get bogged down in all that preparation baloney. I am the kind of guy that either has it that day or doesn't.
SNN: Kind of an odd stance. You seem disinterested.
DON: No. I'm interested. How can you not be? I mean, our hotel is the nicest we've had in the history of the tournament. There is a bus to the bar. The course has grass, which is something rarely seen in New York City.
SNN: The hotel has a swimming pool. Are you a swimmer?
DON: Yes. Normally with a swimsuit.
SNN: Are you a guy that just jumps in the pool or goes in slowly?
DON: Neither. I like the cannonball.
SNN: Okay. So Don, you're oft-admired by the females for your physique and attire. How do you explain your appeal?
DON: I really cannot put a finger on it. I want to be humble, but it is kinda hard to do with a body like mine.
SNN: So you plan on searching for more then just your ball in the woods at Rock Hollow?
DON: I do not plan to hit my ball in the woods. I do not search for anything including balls. I am sought after.
SNN: Interesting. Thanks for your time.
Don Creighton signs as the 27th player. You can see Don Creighton and the rest of the Carl Spackler Open tournament field starting June 4, 2008. It is bound to be a great event.
