Budget Set; Butter Pays

March 16, 2008

POWELL, OH — The budget for Golfapalooza XII has been established by the Finance Office over the weekend. This year's event will cost all participants $300 to attend. While the price of the greatest value in golf has increased a little bit for GXII, the weekend is still a relative bargain when compared to other golf weekends. Golfapalooza founder GStan was asked to comment on this year's rate. "A round of golf at Pebble Beach costs you $495. While it might be nice to hit a dozen balls into the Pacific Ocean and shoot 100, there's no way in hell it's worth that much money. I would much rather spend $300 and get what I believe to be a more real golf experience. How many other courses can you write Grundo in a bunker on Thursday and it's still there on Saturday? Not many. Three rounds of golf, a place to stay, all meals covered, a nice looking shirt and some good trophies for $300? Sign me up! Wait a minute, I'm already signed up! Everybody else needs to sign up!"

In other news, the Finance Office is rumored to have already received a check from Brian "Butter" Flanagan for this year's event. When asked for comment on what may be his earliest payment ever, Butter just kept walking but was heard muttering under his breath that maybe "it might get Stan to get the damn letter done on time."

A little over six months remain until this year's event. 11 Loozers have already committed or signed to spend an event-filled celebration of ten years at Alpine Lake.
