New Scorecard Entry

January 18, 2006

COLUMBUS, OH — With the winter season as cold as ever, Poststats LLC has has nearly completed the new step by step scorecard entry process for the 2006 season.

The new process includes a new golf course structure including tee box slope ratings for each gender.

"It was a startling revelation to see the USGA providing slope ratings for women outside the traditional red tees," says Greg Long. "One giant step to tee box complexity."

In addition to gender ratings, the golf courses have been structured with surveys and ranking system, new Poststats Point algothrm upgrade, and auditor. The new system allows scorecard entry for Family Fun Centers, Par 3's and executive golf courses. Alerts for cart path only and aeration were also adding along with price to play.

Long continued, "Feel free to play goat ranches with no slope rating, par 3's, or with Brian Flanagan at Blacklick's Executive Course in Columbus. We believe Poststats has covered them all."

The price to play along with duration information will be used to provide additional services. Entered information will be collected and displayed to everyone noting the pace of play and price to play golf at a particular golf course. The information will also be used to determine the pace of play per golfer along with providing each golfer a total dollars spent in 2006.

Tee time and duration is collected to estimate when each hole was played. Wind speed, precipation, and temperature is attached to each hole played. The future includes handicapping and statistics based on weather. This also includes pace of play on a rainy Saturday versus pace of play on a sunny Tuesday.

"Seems like a lot of information that I could care less about," says Brian Flanagan. "However, the entry process seems to be easier and faster than before."

Course alerts are collected and notify golfers of possible cart path only policies and aeration to greens. The system immediately notifies all tee date entries scheduled to play the particular golf course and also remembers the aeration date for next year notifications.

The scorecard entry process includes an audit of each tee box upon first round of play. The system collects course rating and total yardage to ensure the golf course database remains accurate.

An optional quick survey was added to the completion of your scorecard entry. Based on your golf course preferences located in your profile, approximately 10-15 yes/no questions are available to help other golfers fully understand the true reality of your experience.

"The scorecard entry process is clearly the most important aspect of the website," says Long. "It is amazing how a little bit of information can be used in a positive way to help everyone."
