Ms. Lacey Underall

June 19, 2008

PERU, IN — "My uncle says you've got a screw loose," Lacey Underall said to Ty Webb. Along with Ty, Trent Cooper thinks her uncle molests collies and "salmon" golf shirts are high-profile.

Trent Cooper won the inaugural Ms. Lacey Underall sash, ear rings, and crown at the 2008 Carl Spackler Open. "I told you my shirt was salmon," said Cooper at the Awards Presentation. "This sash is pink and my shirt is salmon."

Cooper won the award by a landslide at Homer's Sports Bar & Fun Center in Peru, IN.

"He truely earned it," says buddy Jean Dore. "He has been dressing too pretty for too long. His dress must be recognized as part of the tournament."

Jean Dore suggested the award creation back in Brooklyn, MI. He returned to Peru, IN with the sash.

Cooper wore the award on Saturday night for the first and probably the last time. In the next coming year, Trent Cooper will create a commitee to help him deliver the Ms. Lacey Underall sash moving forward. The recipient is considered the prettiest golfer by dress within the tournament field.

"How do you think the sash will look in your new trophy case," asks Jean Dore? Cooper replied, "As nice as it wrapped around your neck and pulled."

Cooper was asked for his thoughts on the future of the award. "This is going to be presented to only the prettiest of golfers," said Cooper. "We are not just going to hand it out because it needs to be distributed every year. I am looking for someone that earns it."

Dore asked, "Do you have an examples from the past that would be worthy?" Cooper replied, "Yes. Jason Watson and his 'Paula Creamer shoes' would be a heavy nomination if I see them again."

The 2008 Carl Spackler Open Championship is now a couple of weeks in the past. Preparations for the 2009 Open have begun with scouting in July.
