Little Buddy Seeks Gold
December 12, 2003
WARREN, PA — Even a 50-year-old Little Buddy who's played professionally for only 1 year can seek gold. Jim Campbell who finished dead last with 19.2 points in the On Tour Championship, finished play last week and -- most significantly -- first in the hearts of golf fans around the world.
It was a disaster season for Campbell, however he is excited about 2004. "This type of finish should get some serious NOOG points for 2004. I am excited and looking forward to 2004", said Little Buddy Campbell. "I will not lose to Munksgard at any cost."
The duo of Jim Campbell, Jon Munksgard, Mike Lewis and Kevin Long play weekly in the summer golf leagues. "Our delirious wives are aware of the magnitude of what they were watching unfold on golf's biggest stage. These type of Carl events need to be taken seriously at the wife level." Jim averaged 111 strokes per round in 2003. "If I shoot 130 tomorrow, I don't care and either does my wife. I just need to be ready to improve this summer."
The Carl Spackler On Tour Championship is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2004. Currently, the group is signing players for the official 2004 Carl Spackler Open on June 10, 2004. The field of players is currently 3 with 20 days before the deadline.
