LOUISVILLE, KY — Any chance Greg Long(i.e. Slick) had of beating Tom McCauley(i.e. T.) had long since faded as the two walked together down the soggy 15th fairway at Timbergate near Indianapolis, IN.  But had it.  With Tom 6-over par, Greg birdied 16 and 17 and was three shots back.  Tom then shot double-bogey on Hole 18 to win the 36-hole event by one stroke.  There wasn't much to talk about, but something still needed to be said.

"I'm sorry I wasn't a better player for you today," Slick told T..  Slick shot 37, 45, 43, 38.  He needn't have apologized.  The sorry thing for Slick is that it probably didn't make any difference.

''I'm just delighted. It's not how I wanted to finish. It wasn't pretty.  It didn't feel pretty, but got the job done,'' McCauley said.
