Coach Bus Service
May 5, 2009
LYNCHBURG, VA — The Carl Spackler Open Championship plans to return this year with just more than a classic field of players. The tournament will return with upscale safe shuttle bus transportation to/from the golf course on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The coach bus service ensures no drinking and driving throughout the week and transportation of 57 golf bags back to the hotel on Saturday.
"We are very pleased with the opportunities in Lynchburg," says Vice President of Tournament Transportation, Don Creighton. "The primary goal to fill the bus is complete. Seat confirmations for 57 passengers will be made shortly."
The shuttle bus costs $30 total per participant for three round trip services. The bus service will also include the 1-mile trip to/from the baseball stadium on Thursday night and service for all Carl Spackler Open participants.
There are no other transportation services this June. Participants are expected to walk 275 yards to all other nighttime entertainment.
Daily pairing sheets are expected to be distributed on the bus both Friday and Saturday mornings.
"The bus is being offered for 3 days and 128 miles," says Creighton. "The cost for the bus is $30 per golfer. The gasoline and vehicle depreciation to private vehicles is expected to be $30 over 3 days."
The 2009 Carl Spackler Open Championship will host players from the Quality Inn in Lynchburg, VA. The Awards Presentation is scheduled for Saturday night immediately after the catered Awards Dinner.
