Golf Bag Transportation
March 31, 2010
LAGUNA VISTA, TX — The Captains Club continued to provide the details surrounding Carl Spackler Open's 10th annual birthday party, which is being held at South Padre Island Golf Club in southern Texas.
"I am so excited that it has been hard to function in normal society this month," says Jeremy Myers, CEO of the Captains Club. "There are just days left and each day comes with a challenge to stay focused on my career and family."
Myers was excited about the opportunity to provide important details surrounding golf bag arrival and departure clubhouse transportation while in Laguna Vista, TX.
"Listen up please. Each participant will be more responsible than ever this year," said Myers. "Upon arrival... participants are expected to walk to the clubhouse the morning of their first round of golf, check-in, obtain a lunch ticket, bag of range balls, bag tag, and golf cart, then drive the golf cart back to their condominium, load up their golf bag, and then transport golf bags to the clubhouse."
The walk between each condominum and clubhouse is expected to be something between 8 and 10 minutes.
"On Sunday afternoon... participants are expected to drive their golf cart to their condominium after the Skills Challenge Contest," added Myers. "Each participant is expected to grab their travel bag from their condominum and proceed with the golf cart to the airport driver's condominum. Participants should then remove their golf bag from the cart, pack their golf clubs in their travel bag, and store inside the airport driver's garage. Then return the golf cart back to the clubhouse.
Participants playing golf on Monday, April 19 should return their golf bag to the clubhouse on Sunday, April 18 and execute the above steps after golf on Monday."
The golf cart will be the only time participants are expected to driving while in southern Texas.
The 2010 Carl Spackler Open Championship will be held April 15-18 with 51 or 52 participants. The optional 4-man Scramble will be held Friday, April 16 after Round 1. There are 16 participants expected to play golf Thursday morning before the annual practice round.
