TERRA ALTA, WV — The Founding Fathers of Golfapalooza are pleased to announce that registration is officially open for GXV, set to take place at West Virginia's heralded Alpine Lake Resort and Conference Center from Thursday, September 29th through Saturday, October 1, 2011 with an optional practice round set for September 28th. "This is our 15th annual trip, and our 13th in a row at Alpine Lake" stated Butter Flanagan, "and quite frankly, looking back, I'm surprised we're still allowed to come here, and that nobody has died."

Fellow Founding Father GStan Kaniecki echoed Butter's sentiments. "When I think back to years 4, 5 and 6, the increments by which attendance and alcohol intake were increasing on an annual basis was really astounding. Back then, if we had continued at the same rate, it surely looked like we would have had a disaster by now. Both attendance and outrageousness have seemed to settle in at a relative equilibrium, despite the addition of the Woo Woo Machine and last year's resurgence of Beer Pong."

Shieker Long was asked what changes could be expected for this year's event. "As a general rule, we fear change; that's kind of our motto. We know what makes Golfapalooza great, and we know why guys come back year after year. We try not to deviate too far from the framework we've spent years perfecting. Some minor changes may be noticeable this year. This is the first year that the reigning MELC Champion will pick the apparel colors. Munk won last year, so who knows what the **** we'll be wearing this year. Also, urination anywhere near the 7th tee box is prohibited, punishable by $50 fine (each instance) payable to the Golfapalooza General Revenue Fund. Also, Saturday's 2-man scramble event tee times have been delayed to an 11:40 AM start time due to a scheduling conflict with another event. After 13 years, Alpine Lake still hasn't learned on which side their bread is buttered."
