WATERLOO, IL — Brian Flanagan led a group of aspiring Loozers at the Spackler Open practice round on Wednesday afternoon at Tanglewood Park.  Other Loozers fine-tuning their skills in preparation of this weekend's Spackler were Jackson Heights' Randy Watson, Rick "Hamburgler" Dosky, Greg "Sleepy" Garrett and Greg "Scratch/Slick" Long.  All represented the Golfapalooza name well on foreign soil, but it was Butter's 17th hole birdie that capped his workmanlike round of 95, posting 43 Noog/Melc points.  Hurricane Boland was expected to be a late evening arrival and ready for 1st day afternoon tee-offs today.  After totalling nearly 75,000 frequent flier miles to attend the 2003 Spackler, Flanagan appears both more relaxed and determined to bring home the Gold Jacket.  "To be able to show up at the final major of the year (GVIII at Alpine Lake) wearing the Spackler Gold Jacket...well, you just can't put a price on that.  My game is all about intimidation" remarked a slimmmed-down Butter.

Stay tuned for more Spackler 2004 updates and features as the weekend unfolds.
