TERRA ALTA, WV — 16 Loozers are ready to tee off at 1:00 Wednesday in the annual Golfapalooza Practice Round with two other Loozers, Patch and Guy, rolling in at 3:00 to play by themselves. Expect to see a lot of the two Loozers in the photo, Munk and JT, doing what they are doing in the photo (holding a cupful of Captain and Diet) on the course, at the cabin, heck maybe even in the shower.

Expectations are high among the Loozers in the field for Munk to repeat, except for Munk himself. "I'm just coming down to one of my new favorite places to play some golf and drink some Captain," Munk said earlier this week. "If I win $20, great, if I win $200, even better. I am disappointed though, that I don't get to defend my scramble title with Real Stan."

JT was a little apprehensive this week about his +11.5 bet that 17 Loozers took him up on until he realized that if the weather forecast holds up it might be to his financial advantage. "I'm not a big fan of playing in the rain," Thomas said, "but I am of winning money. If a few raindrops helps keep a few dollars in my pocket I guess I can tolerate it."

The folks in the Alpine Lake pro shop say they're ready for this year's group to roll on in. We'll see if that still holds true by Friday.
