Hurricane, Slick Surge
June 11, 2004
WATERLOO, IL — Although the six (6) Loozers at the 2004 Spackler Open improved on Day 2, none appear to have the necessary stamina to climb into contention for Saturday's final round. Two prominent (golf standards only) Loozers resurrected their Tournament performances on Friday - Slick fired a 50 point Noog round with an 84, highlighted by 2 birdies and Hurricane Boland picked up 2 birdies on his way to a 44 point Noog round of 89. Greg Garrett remains in the Top 10, but trails the leader by an insurmountable 42 points. Other Loozer representatives like Butter, Watson and Dosky continue to languish in mediocrity, but all appear to be a safe haven away from the Al Cervic outfit. Dosky's Round 2 was highlighted by a gargantuan front nine of 71, while Jackson Heights' Randy Watson faded as he always seems to do.
