Playing with NOOG
June 18, 2004
WARREN, PA — Just when Big Kev thought his excitement from Carl Spackler was over until next year, he showed up to the 1st tee on Tuesday evening for golf league. "Nice to meet you," said Big Kev. "My name is Kevin." With an immediate return, his partner said, "Tom. Tom Carroll."
After a double-take, Big Kev quickly knew that there was not only a sighting of NOOG, but full verification that NOOG truely continues to play golf. "It was exciting to play golf with this kind of celebrity," says Big Kev. "It kinda felt like playing with a celebrity."
Tom Carroll, who resides in Russell, PA, plays in the Tuesday night Blueberry Hill Golf League. Big Kev, who tied for 13th last week in the 4th annual Carl Spackler Open, was coming off a great 100 strokes at the Tanglewood Park Championship golf course.
"Tom asked me about Spackler," says Big Kev. "I told him it was great. He did not appear to be overjoyed."
