SNOWSHOE, WV — The Carl Spackler Open is the premier amateur sports trip in America. The 100-day registration period is over with the Captains Club starting to release the annual participant option details surrounding the event. The first participant option, Wednesday night lodging, will offer an opportunity to stay a 5th night  at The Inn.

"We will once again offer a 5th night on June 5," says senior member Chris Price. "This is your opportunity to check-in early and get aquainted with the event for a tax-included $36.00 per golfer (double occupancy)."

The 5th night participation is not expected to attract high attendance due to location, but it is an option for participants who would like to arrive early. Golf and lodging on Wednesday will be offered for $76.

The Inn at Snowshoe Resort is the choice lodging for the Carl Spackler Open. The hotel is located within 1/2 mile of Raven Golf Club.

Roommate preferences will also be collected in March 2013, however actual roommates for the 4-night Carl Spackler Open will be heavily dependent on Wednesday night selections.

The included practice round will be teed sometime between 12:00PM and 2:00PM on Thursday, June 6, 2013. The practice range will open with balls starting one hour before the first tee time.

"Once again, we will offer an extended vacation," said Chad Long. "Golfers who would like an extra day of golf or/and arrive early can do so at a very affordable price."

The annual participant option process will be available starting Friday, March 1 and continue through the entire month of March 2013. Fees associated with selections made will automatically update participant balances. The deadline for all payments to the non-profit Carl Spackler Open, Inc. is Monday, April 15, 2013.

The 2013 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Snowshoe Resort in Snowshoe, WV. There are 64 to 68 participants expected for the 13th annual 54-hole golf tournament. Players who have signed to participate include (from left to right in picture) Keith Archer from North Carolina, Chris Milam from North Carolina, Chris Price from Virginia, Bob Jastrzebski of Michigan, Chad Long of Ohio, and Jim Brewster of District of Columbia.
