TERRA ALTA, WV — As Golfapalooza has grown over the years, one of the major ways has been by family involvement. Going all the way back to the first Golfapalooza when GStan and KGB attended, family has helped make this event what it is today. Multiple combinations of the Kaniecki brothers have attended over the years, including at least one year where all five attended. Butter and Kid Rock have been at 14 Golfapaloozas together (we are hoping it is 15 after this year). Brothers-in-law like the JT/Winthorp and Whitey/Honey combos have made their impact on past events. KGB took it to another level when he invited his father-in-law Grandpa Al who has attended eight Golfapaloozas to date. We knew it would eventually happen, not exactly with this duo, but the father-son combo is set to appear for the first time at GXVIIII.

Mark "Uncle Mark" Young and his son AJ are scheduled to attend GXVIIII. This will be the first Golfapalooza for Uncle Mark since 2009. Uncle Mark was unavailable for comment, but GStan had a few words about his return. "I was at home one night a couple months ago and Uncle Mark gets out of his van carrying a bunch of scorecards," GStan said. "He told me he was coming back to Golfapalooza and that AJ was coming with him. He handed me the cards and asked me to put them in the site; those that know Uncle Mark know he's not the most computer-literate person in the world. He finished by saying 'just tell me what I owe and who to pay and I'll be there'." AJ is a one-time attendee whose attendance was overshadowed by Cadbury walking off the course and leaving mid-scramble.

36 days remain until the KGB Cup. 24 Loozers have committed as of press-time with a few more potentially in, because once you're out, you're out, unless you're in again!
