WHEELING, WV — Don McFarland, who waited to enter the On Tour Championship until last week, has entered the Leaderboard in the 8th position and is looking for his 2nd Top 10 finish in 3 years.
"This guys is playing the easiest course in the eastern United States," said Brian Flanagan. "A 415-yard par 5 is stepping over the line of integrity."
McFarland played Fairway River Links twice in the past 30 days scoring an impressive 44 and 47 points. "I played quite well from my layoff," said McFarland. "My 85 strokes last week was a personal best."
Don McFarland did play a challenge in August. He played Olgebay Jones in Wheeling, WV and scored 36 points. He had 3 pars and 8 bogeys.
The Leaderboard is tight with English, Hoffert, Matt Davis, Caridi, and Lewis in the Top 5. Zavinski and Brian Long round out the Top 7 before Don McFarland finds the 8th spot.
