VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Kevin Long, the 2001 Tournament Honoree, has shattered a record that has stood as long as Carl Spackler himself.  Long (i.e. Hevy Jo) shot an embarrassing 108 strokes at Hells Point in Virginia Beach, VA.  Hevy scored a dismal 17 points.

"There were no bright spots today," says Hevy.  "Scoring five triple-bogeys is not golf.  In southern Virginia, they call that hacking."

Kevin Long, Jr. shot the awful round without a par or birdie on his new home course.  Hevy Jo recently moved 1,000 feet from the Hells Point clubhouse.

Matt Davis called to question the scorecard that posted 58 strokes on the front nine.  "This is cheating," says Davis.  "This guy placed 4th at the Carl Spackler Open.  He scored 64 points in Round 1 and 54 points in the final round.  This is wrong and I am starting a detail investigation on scorecard tampering."

Kevin Long, Jr. broke his record of 104 strokes from November 2003 when he shot a 104 at James River.

The terrible round at Hells Point resulted in Hevy falling a drastic 22 spots on the On Tour Championship Leaderboard.  Hevy Jo now holds 32nd place in a field of 50 players.
