COLUMBUS, OH — In the lead-up to the highly anticipated 2024 Carl Spackler Open, organizers have divulged key details regarding maximum roster space and participant option process.

The hosting hotel offers a total of 40 rooms allowing for a maximum capacity of 80 guests (40 rooms x 2 beds each). An additional 12 roster spots are contingent on funded single room reservations through the participant option process.

"Demand to participate exceeeds space for third year," said Captains Club member Bill Bateson. "Participant options for single room reservations are now open for selection. Four roster spots will be added as soon as four single room reservations are funded. The key word is funded."

Roster space, from the 81st to the 92nd, would be allocated in groups of four. The potential available roster space above 80 golfers would be filled on March 1, 2024 or in early April 2024.

The selection process for Phase 3 involves a comprehensive evaluation of both Contribution Grade and Attendance Grade, with particular emphasis placed on registered golfers. The golfer boasting the highest Contribution Grade and confirmed registration will be the first to secure a coveted spot. Following suit, participants with the highest Attendance Grade and registration status will subsequently be added. This alternating process continues until the roster reaches its capacity or the maximum limit is attained.

Organizers emphasize an inclusive approach in the roster selection process. All registrants are listed on a Roster Worksheet, which is organized by contribution. Registrants can elevate themselves during the registration period by entering scorecards from rounds played.
