EUREKA, MO — Final Handicaps (HDCP) were calculated early this morning, allowing the team handicaps for both Thursday's and Friday's rounds to be published.

Scramble handicaps are calculated with the following formulas:

4-Man Team = 20% of the lowest HDCP+ 15% of the 2nd lowest HDCP + 10% of the 2nd highest HDCP + 5% of the highest HDCP.  If a team is made up of players with a 5 HDCP, 10 HDCP, 20 HDCP and a 30 HDCP, their team HDCP would be a 6.

(5 x .2) + (10 x .15) + (20 x .1) + (30 x .05) = 6

3-Man Team = 25% of the lowest HDCP + 15% of the 2nd lowest HDCP + 10% of the lowest HDCP.  If a team is made up of players with a 5 HDCP, 10 HDCP and, their team HDCP would be a 5 (4.75 rounded up).

(5 x .25) + (10 x .15) + (20 x .1) = 4.75, rounded to 5

Once all of the team handicaps are calculated, the handicaps are then adjusted to the lowest team handicap.  If the lowest team handicap is 2, then all team handicaps are lowered by 2, so a team with a 6 handicap becomes a 4 handicap.

Round 2 is part of the Calcutta Auction.  Owning a member of the winning team earns you 5% of the overall Calcutta pot, 6.66% if the winning team is a 3 man team.
