BETHEL PARK, PA — The Golfapalooza Founding Fathers convened a press conference to announce the opening of the registration cycle for GXXVIIII.  Father Sheiker took the microphone to begin.   "This year will be very similar to next year.  While there may be small changes, there should be no significant increase in cost or agenda.  This year's event will be the week of September 15.  We will once again have access to the lodge beginning that Monday, September 15.  Golf will once again commence on that Wednesday, September 17 with the KGB Cup.  Teams for the KGB Cup will be captained by Dosky and Double G.  Thursday September 18 - Saturday September 20, will hold our traditional BSPITW tournament with scramble rounds each day.  Additional details are listed in the announcement."

Lodging - We will once again have the entire lodge to ourselves beginning Monday.  Based on projected headcount, there will be a need for a few people to share rooms, but everyone is guaranteed their own bed.  Please refer to the Notebook section on "Hotel Lodging" to understand the differences between the sides of the building and floors.  There is an option for you to select your desired room assignment.  The base cost of the trip includes lodging Wednesday night thru Sunday morning.  If you will be arriving early, you may stay at the lodge for an additional nominal fee.  You will find options for both your arrival date/time and the number of extra nights you will require.  Golf on Monday or Tuesday is not included in the price for your extra night(s) stay.

We will once again have a 'Hospitality Room" to house snacks and the woo-woo machine.

In addition to opening registration, we have also opened the Trip Options so that you may select your options as soon as you are added as a participant.  There have been some changes to the structure of the Trip Options page.  When you first enter the options section, you will first be shown multiple Yes/No options.  Please check those options for which you are indicating "Yes".  Not selecting an option will register the option as a "No".  Please read the option details to understand what you are selecting.

Golf - The KGB Cup will be held on Wednesday afternoon.  This year's captains are Dosky and Double G.  Teams will be drafted as we get closer to the trip and we have a better idea of the number of participants. Thursday thru Saturday rounds will once again be 4 man scrambles, with handicaps determined for each team.  There are both mandatory and optional contests on the course each day.  The cost of mandatory events is included in the base price.  we will once again be utilizing all three tee boxes (White, Yellow and Red) throughout the three days of play.
