MASSAPEQUA, NY — The magic number is 32. It determines the winner of the 2004 On Tour Championship, guarantees a strong spot in the Open Championship field and elicits sighs of relief from golfers who struggle to gain praise from their amateur golf game.

I know what my situation is, I just have to play better," said Casale, who has finished two rounds in 2004 for an average of 44 points per round.  "I actually played well in both rounds this year, I just didn't get anything out of it.  So I have to get my work done this offseason."  Casale is positioned for 6th place if he plays another round in the next 32 days.

Casale shot a 23-over par 86 at Cream Ridge.  His round included 3 pars, 7 bogeys, and 7 double bogeys for 40 NOOG points.

Casale next focus comes to whether he will sign as a rookie for the 2005 Carl Spackler Open.  Invitations will be mailed on November 15 with a signing deadline on January 3.
