Back Nine Zero

GROVE CITY, OH — The day was perfect except for a little wind, but the course was much more intense. Kyle Marti was the man and he had a date at the Players Club in Lockbourne, Ohio. What started poor ended short of a complete disaster as Kyle scoring zero points on the back nine and 6 points on the front.

Kyle's 6 point effort was granted 16 additional bonus NOOG points due to the difficult golf course.  He shot a pair of 66's.  His first 66 was setup on #6 when he pulled 6 straight shots out of bounds.  "If I was going to embarrass myself, I would not have shown up," said Marti.  "It was tough out there and a swing overhaul is required."

Kyle shot a 60-over, 132 in route to the second worst score since his initial registration back in June 2002. "I could not concentrate over the ball," said Marti.  "Everything including my putting was terrible."

The worst score in Marti history was a 109.  His 132 is 23 strokes higher than his prevous worst.  Marti shot a 109 at Iron Valley this summer and a 108 at Mountain Valley the day prior.

Brian Long played as Kyle's partner and shot his worst scorecard since his practice round at Tanglewood Park.  It was his worst non-Tanglewood round since April 2003.

The On Tour Championship completes in 27 days.  Jim English has the lead by 1/3 point over Glenn Hoffert.
