PITTSBURGH, PA — Matt Davis, who once was considered the biggest talker on the golf course remains the biggest talker on the golf course.  But recently, Davis is backing up that talk on special occasions.

"Pokey really looks terrible at times," says brother Mike Davis.  "But, shows fire on occasion and tears up the golf course.  There is no telling how good he could be if he kept his focus throughout."

Pokey finished the On Tour Championship in 4th place with 45.9 points per round.  He was 1/10 of a point from 3rd place.  He submitted rounds over 100 strokes and under 80 strokes.

He placed 3rd in the 2003 Carl Spackler Open after scoring 45 points in 2nd round. His first two rounds totaled 47 points.

He placed 27th in the 2004 Carl Spackler Open.  He started tied for 39th place after Round 1.  He tore up the 2nd round with 58 points while moving up the leaderboard 31 places tied for 7th place.  Then plummeted 19 spots in the final round to finish in 27th place.

"Davis really needs to find out how he puts it together and make it work throughout," says Greg Long.  "It is obvious that he has the ability, but no consistency."

Pokey is expected to lose his double bogey point for the first time in Spackler History.  Points will be distributed on January 1 for the 2005 On Tour Championship.
