Tee Dates at 25%

February 27, 2005

COLUMBUS, OH — The 2005 On Tour Championship began on February 1, 2005.  Matt Munksgard has taken the momentary lead in the season-long championship with Scott Zavinski hot on his trail.

With the regular golf season ready to begin, the Captains Club called a press conference on Saturday to discuss tee dates and the lack of use.  "We are unhappy with the results seen under tee dates," says Greg Long, Chairman of the Captains Club.  "In 2004, only 24.6% of all scorecards were proactively communicated using this wonderful service.  That is much less than we expected."

The Captains Club is looking for ways to better use the service in 2005.  Expectations are at least half the rounds will be displayed ongoing.

Tee dates are tee-times, but times are not as important as dates inside the Spackler organization.  This service allows players to communicate intentions to play golf on a specific dates during the On Tour Championship.  The system displays the six most current rounds to be played and dates can be entered up to December 31 each year.

"The more information displayed, the more it will bring the group together," says Brian Flanagan.  "Our expectations are high inside our organization and we strongly believe 50% of our members will use the service in 2005."
