COLUMBUS, OH — There are not many people registered for the On Tour Championship that putt 39 times per round.  There are zero that average 37 putts per round.  Greg Long submitted his fourth round on Tuesday and confirmed his short game is awful.

"It was extremely embarrassing," says Long.  "I have yet to lose a ball this year.  I clearly and consistently drive the ball 285 down the middle of the fairway, but that is only 14 shots per round.  It is devistating to reveal the hacking around the greens."

Long putted 39 times on Sunday and putted 37 times on Tuesday.  He four-putted the 17th hole at Bent Tree on Thursday.  He shot a dismal 91 and 90 this week.

Long continued, "The driver is so straight, long, and consistent, I am reshaping par 5's into 300-yard par 4's and par 4's into 100-yard par 3's.  However, I cannot par from such short distances because my short game is god awful.  A Mike Lewis-like short game could have me in the low-80's for sure."

Long has positioned himself in 12th place for the 2005 On Tour Championship with 29.0 points per round.
