Chetty Opens with 35
April 21, 2005
WARREN, PA — Chet Munksgard opened very poor at Blueberry Hill before eating a magic hotdog, rapping his 9-iron around a tree, and drinking a ice cold beer at the turn. He returned with more than quadruple the points on the backnine and finished with 35 points.
"I was really worried about my score after the first set of holes," says Munksgard. "It was quite a poor effort and I was really getting irritated. The club throw released the right about amount of frustration."
Munksgard posts his first scorecard ever. He plans to elevate his game prior to June.
In other news, Marty Zabonik was hacking at Scioto Reserve and Hickory Hills. His two rounds with 81 strokes are 2 or his worst 3 rounds in years.
"It is quite obvious he is getting rattled when he leaves his home course," says Bill Bateson. "He really needs to get a mental coach for the Spackler Open."
Zabonik currently resides in 4th place in the 2005 On Tour Championship.
