OIL CITY, PA — Jay Dilks did what friends said was impossible.  He shot his first round in the 70's when playing from at least 6,200 yards.  The monster round pushed him up the leaderboard into 15th position.

The round at the brand new Links at Ivy Ridge near Buffalo, NY has resurrected a career that seems to have promise.

"I love Ivy Ridge," says Jay Dilks.  "I'm not just saying this because I shot 79 but it was fun because you could use the driver all day and get close on the par 5's with a 3 wood on the second shot. There is a ton of risk and reward. The greens were huge and course was in great shape for only two months old."

Dilks received a record 18 NOOG points for the 7,002 yard 138 Slope.  Dilks' massive leap up the leaderboard from 26th position has stunned quite a few.

Mike Trojanowski also plowed into 4th place with 72 points at Ivy Ridge.

"Someone needs to investigate the scorecards being posted," says Jamie Myers.  "I did not really believe Dilks' scorecard, but this is ridiculous when Trojanowski is in 4th place.  Who is signing these cards?  No double bogeys or triple bogeys?"

Dilks is averaging 43.7 points per round while Trojanowski 48.5 points per round.  Jay is fully expected to make another move into at least 11th place in the next few days when he replaces his worst rounds of the season with fresh and much higher scores.

The On Tour Championship concludes in 175 days.
