Casale Hops into 3rd

September 20, 2005

MT. LAUREL, NJ — Nick Casale continues to shine and jumped into 3rd place this week amongst criticism that he is playing Cherry Valley too much and is not a well rounded player.

"He is a true champion, but I am losing faith with these home course rounds," says old college roommate Chad Long.  "He has really made a statement this summer after a disappointing spring.  I am concerned he is not that good."

Casale started the season-long championship with plenty of rounds scoring in the mid-30's.  Then Mountain Valley arrived and he has turned it on since.  His worst round of the last 10 is Mountain Valley with 42 points.

"He is very consistent," says member Matt Pritchard. "He is not one of those guys that shoots 20 points one week and scores 80 points the next.  You can predict his score between 42 and 50 points nearly every round."

With Tom Fowble in first place and Ravinder Bakshi in second, Nick Casale hops into 3rd place with 48 points per round.

The 2005 On Tour Championship will see at least 20 rounds with Golfapalooza getting under way tommorrow morning.  Scorecards will begin to be posted Wednesday evening.  There is 25 days left before the Red Zone Alert expires.
